Grandma Florence’s Potato Salad

The story behind the recipe:
My grandma tinkered with a potato salad recipe to enter it into the Bensenville Homemakers Club recipe contest. She won that year! My grandma was a fantastic cook who made most everything from scratch. I remember her making this potato salad for any get together in the the spring and summer.
Ingredients:
For the dressing:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
For the salad:
4 cups cubed and cooked red potatoes
4 hard boiled eggs, chop 3 and slice 1 for garnish
1 small onion, finely diced
How to make it:
Mix together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the potatoes, onion, and egg and mix well. Chill in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.
