The story behind the recipe:

Butter tarts are definitely on our baking list every Christmas, a lot of my cousins make the same recipe and butter tarts are a family favourite at Christmas time. I try to make them six times a year as well.


Ingredients:

1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup raisins


How to make it:

Preheat oven to 350℉.

Mix ingredients in the order given. Put in unbaked tart shells and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Recipe makes one dozen large tarts or 18 medium tarts.
